Fifty years is not just a date. It represents history, scale, and a certain responsibility for the level of the event. We were invited to organize a gala dinner in honor of the anniversary of the «Burgas» boarding house — a federal-level project, featuring officials, management, partners, and stars of the stage.
The format required precision, status, and impeccable gastronomic dramaturgy.
What We Did
Concept and Staging of the Event
The gala dinner was built around the official program of the evening: speeches by the management, invited guests, and a concert segment featuring stars of the stage. We synchronized the gastronomic rhythm with the event's direction — the serving of dishes should not 'interrupt' the program but rather enhance it. Lighting, stage, LED screens, live music — the kitchen operated in precise coordination with the production team. The serving of hot dishes and climactic moments occurred at meticulously timed intervals. It was not just a banquet, but a part of the overall performance.
Two Culinary Zones
The highlight of the evening was the dual-zone structure. On the open terrace, guests gathered before the official part began and stepped out during breaks. A welcome area was organized here: a ham station with professional slicing, a cheese zone featuring aged varieties, a raw bar with oysters and mussels on ice, and cocktail accompaniment.
Banquet Service and Show Presentation
The main part took place in the format of a gala dinner with table service. Spectacular presentations of hot dishes were coordinated between the kitchen and the evening program. The final highlight was the anniversary cake, designed for the 50th anniversary of the boarding house — striking and symbolic. The project included a significant volume of additional services: an expanded service team, outdoor gastro-logistics, and equipment. This was a comprehensive project requiring precise synchronization of all departments.
